1. Topic of the Project:- Town Planning
Town
planning is a technical and political process concerned with the control of the
use of land and design of the urban environment, including transportation
networks, to guide and ensure the orderly development of settlements and
communities. It concerns itself with research and analysis, strategic thinking,
architecture, urban design, public consultation and policy recommendations.

Topic of the Project:- Experimental Studies on papercrete
Papercrete
is a recently developed construction material which consists of repulped paper
fiber with Portland cement and sand. Some researchers have claimed that
Papercrete has better thermal and sound insulation, compared with conventional
construction materials. Also this material is easy to sculpt with, make blocks,
use as a mortar, as plaster for walls, as floors, as wall insulations, as
arches, privacy walls etc. This work aims at studying the refining properties
of this material in relation with the conventional material for non-bearing
walls in buildings.
3. Topic of the Project:- Road Design
The
National Highways Network of India, is a network of highways that is managed
and maintained by agencies of the Government of India..Over 30,000 km of new
highways are planned or under construction as part of the NHDP.

Design
of Water Supply Scheme
This
project is meant to design a water supply system at Government medical college
Palakkad for next 30 years. The details regarding population and water
consumption rate will be collected and the quality of water from the source
will be analysed, so as to design the treatment plant. The distribution system
will also be designed so as to distribute water to the consumers.
6. Domestic Waste Water Treatment using Wetlands
This
project gives information on the use of wetlands for wastewater treatment. It
focuses mainly on the functioning of constructed wetlands-surface-flow and
infiltration wetlands. In general, constructed wetlands can be designed to
remove more than 90% of BOD, COD, suspended solids and bacteriological
pollution from the through-flowing wastewater.

Seismic Analysis and Design of Multistoried Building
Multi-storey
buildings aim to increase the floor area of the building without increasing the
area of the land, hence saving land and, in most cases, money.The principle
objective of this project is the seismic analysis and design of a multistoried
building using STAAD Pro. The design methods used in STAAD-Pro analysis are
Limit State Design conforming to Indian Standard Code of Practice. In addition
to this various structural component are designed to withstand the earthquake
forces. By doing this project we are establishing the structural system for
ground and repeated floors of the building by considering economy.
